Harvest Life Missions (HLM) has implemented agriculture programs that will provide sustaining funds for our mission in Liberia, with plans to accomplish same in Malawi/Mozambique and Kenya. These funds will allow to further the Kingdom of God by evangelism, medical clinics and addition of the same agriculture program in the named countries.
The goat and pig projects have been implemented, however, a requirement to facilitate the goat & pig projects still has not been implemented; also the chicken project is still in the planning stage with a schedule to purchase 100 chicks, and construct a chicken house that will house the small chicks, and later provide for laying hens to produce eggs.
The farm has twenty acres that is being used to house the animals/chickens and to grow a variety of products (corn, cocoa, pineapple, etc.) that have good market values.
The total cost for the three animal projects is approximately $20,000.00, depending on the number of animals/chickens purchased. However, the start up cost will be approximately $2000.00, this includes the purchase of 100 chicks and building materials for the three animal projects. Several goats and pigs already exist, however, there is a need for housing facilities.
Kenya has been added to countries of interest
The Liberian Vocational High School boy's dorm is completed(construction photos in the slide show are the boy;s dorm), and the girls dorm has received funds from the Children's Hunger Relief Fund to begin the construction. Plan is to have both dorms ready for next school year (September 2018).
